To serve a niche as an influencer is not simple but even more fun when you put the more effort in it and when there are other influencers who serve this niche, too! Classy menswear is definitely a niche in german social media channels. If you are a little bit into this topic and think international, you might get the feeling, that this section is anything but a niche. But if you see the whole range you’ll notice, that this field is not a well common topic. Especially in Germany leading male influencers on social media like Instagram do more concentrate on the so called streetstyle. Leatherjacket, t-shirt, as much as possible ripped jeans, chelseas or sneakers. Precisely the things the majority loves to see. Some of them are very authentic, others are copies. This can be a benefit as well as a disadvantage for influencers in classy menswear. The disadvantage is, that the influencers, which dress very well and take a lot of care of their social media appearance, get less attention which effects on business. The benefit is, that these influencers do their thing no matter what. They keep being authentic not trying to fit in for the majority. We looked for the TOP 9 INFLUENCERS in classy menswear in Germany as per our opinion and ask them some simple questions to introduce them to you:

– I`m 29 years old.

Which city do you come from?
– I`m coming from the imperial city of Aachen, which is my home. But I`m living in Bonn.

Why classy menswear?
– Classy menswear does not follow trends and it’s characterised by timelessness and elegance. Furthermore I like the lifestyle and the nostalgic flair, which surround this topic.
Is there a signature-piece, which represents you and your style?
– There is no one signature-piece I have. But I’m very into dark blue suits, leatherjackets or my balloonhat. „Pieces“ you can see often on me.
Which is your favorite season and why?
– Certainly the fall/winter season. For one thing I love the classy colors which characterise these seasons, for another thing I’m a huge fan of layering! Wearing a three-piece-suit made out of tweet or an elegant coat is something beautiful.

– Of course. Being a gentleman does not only include a certain style, it especially includes the behavior, a man displays. Besides of good clothing it also needs politeness, tolerance, openness and education. In my opinion the style and the attitude of an gentleman build a symbiosis.
Which is your favorite drink?
– My favorite drink is a beer. But I`m also a friend of a good whisky.
What is your favorite movie?
– My favorite movies are „Fight Club„, „Snatch“ and „The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button„.
Which medium is your favorite and why? (Blog, Newspaper, Instagram)
– If it comes to fashion and inspiration, it’s Instagram. If it comes to topics like politics, society and culture I like to read newspapers.

Servus, my name is Fabi, I`m 24 years old and I come from Nuremberg.

Why classy menswear? I´m starting at the age of 15. A young boy who not knew who he is but already had an imagination of how he wants to look: „Some day I want to wear a beard, suits and have tattoos…“.

In these days that was not imaginable for me, but one day I realised: „Hey, somehow you made it!“ But now to classy menswear. I always liked the classy image of a man, since a „simple“ suit can change the outer appearance of a man – positive. But this is not the point. Unfortunately this style, which should bring a certain characteristic aspiration, came out of fashion. These certain characteristic aspirations bring me to the question, if I’m a gentleman or not. In my opinion, nobody should name hisself a gentleman. Furthermore his doings and manners against other people should award him this title. So it’s up to my fellows to evaluate this…

My signature-piece is definitely the pocket watch of my grandfather, which I always wear on my waistcoat, since he passed it on to me. The favorite season for me regarding fashion is clearly the fall. You cannot only wear easily a three-piece-suit, you can also combine a light coat/trench at pleasant temperatures. If I would say that whisky is my favorite drink, I would’ve served another cliche right? But he shares the first place with a good glass of red wine.

„The Wolf Of Wallstreet“ is my favorite movie, in my opinion a modern classic, where fashion is secondary, but beautiful to look at. My favorite medias are Instagram and blogs. I use Instagram mainly to get inspiration for fashion. I use the blogs to get to know the people behind the instagram accounts.

– Puuh, that’s up to my fellows, I really can’t judge this. Being a gentleman constitutes more things than a tie and a well fitting suit.

– I like to drink most a Gin Fizz – simple, but honest.

– I do not have the one favorite movie, but I can delight myself for several genres. In my top 10 are „Into the Wild“ and „Once„.

– Also here I have several favorites: I`m a huge fan of „The Rake“ magazine as well as the „Spiegel„. On Instagram I`m following a lot of great accounts.
